splurge vs bargain - mascara edition
One of the
most important products for any girl rather they barely wear makeup or do a
full face of makeup every day is mascara. Personally I love having long lashes
and I've went through literally everything from high end to drugstore to find a
few good mascaras to avoid wearing fake lashes. So the first product I found
was the Lancôme drama mascara which you can get a Sephora or shoppers drug mart
for 35$, because it was considered a high end brand I had high expectations for
this product sadly it really let down. The first thing I hated about this was
the smell, it was way too strong it would give me a headache every time I would use it Also it would make my lashes
super clumpy.
Instead of wasting your money on this mascara I would really
recommends buying the l’oreal telescopic mascara you could buy this at shoppers
drug mart and Walmart I love this mascara because the brush is really nice and
keeps your lashes for getting clumpy and sticking together to add that not too
much product comes out with that being said it lasted me about 6 months before
it started going dry which was okay because this mascara is only 11$ which is
super affordable! Another cheap mascara that I love is the Maybelline New York Volume Express Pumped Up! Colossal Mascara, its smooth application and ability
to lengthen lashes beautifully I’m obsessed with this one, I always get
compliments on my lashes when I wear this mascara and did I mention its only 7$
at any shoppers drug mart and Walmart. with that being said high end products arent always better than the drugstore products.

ReplyDeleteAnother great post O'Shawn! Mascara is definitely an essential product that every girl has to have. Even if you do not feel like doing a full face of makeup that day, just putting on some mascara will really open up your eyes and make you look more awake. I like how you talked about a higher end product not living up to your expectations and giving readers a cheaper, better alternative. I have tried Maybelline mascaras in the past and I know that they are great quality products for a great price! I love your posts, they really give great tips! :)
ReplyDeleteWow! I had no clue that I could get almost the same high quality mascara for a way cheaper price. I use mascara definetly the most out of all the makeup products so I take it very serioulsy. Which means I'd pay big bucks just to get a mascara that works very well. I am of course gonna try this mascara out cause it is cheaper. Thank you once again! Love your blog!

- Spelling/ grammar (cant vs can’t, spacing of commas, capitalization, its vs it’s, run-ons, to vs too, “for now on” vs “from now on”, will vs with,etc.)
- Some formatting issues when it comes to your page (ex. Much of your first post is highlighted, which often means you copy pasted out of a different browser, you sometimes have a thin line of text next to your pictures, or a large horizontal space between text, etc.)
